A Big Good News for the People of Murshidabad. From April 26 (Saturday) to May 10, the world’s first multi-specialty hospital train, Lifeline Express, will be stationed at Lalbagh Court Road Station. Organized by Impact India Foundation in collaboration with Indian Railways, this special hospital train will provide completely free medical services to the common people of Murshidabad.
Medical services will be available every day from 9 AM to 4 PM.
Each coach of the train is equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment and a team of experienced specialist doctors. For the benefit of patients, treatments for eye diseases, ear problems, dental care, orthopedic issues, and plastic surgery will be available. There will also be facilities for the detection and treatment of serious illnesses like breast cancer and cervical cancer.
All these services will be provided completely free of cost.
Additionally, distribution of spectacles, dental treatment, minor surgeries, and in some cases major surgeries will also be arranged at no cost.
Patient registration will start every morning.
Those who wish to avail treatment are requested to bring a photocopy of their identity proof, previous medical records, and any necessary materials.
Lalbagh Court Road Station can be easily reached by any local or passenger train running on the Katwa–Azimganj route.
The services of the Lifeline Express will be available on the platform adjacent to the station.
It is worth mentioning that in 1991, the Lifeline Express became the world’s first-ever hospital train, marking a significant chapter in history. Since then, it has traveled to remote corners of the country, bringing healthcare services to millions of people.
Even today, it continues its journey with the same spirit, and now, it brings a new ray of hope to Murshidabad as well.
Modern healthcare facilities inside a small train — the Lifeline Express truly marks the beginning of a new era.
This initiative, dedicated to being by the side of the people, will surely be a historic moment for the residents of Murshidabad.
